Abstract:

Blast injury is seen with increasing frequency worldwide in military conflicts, civilian settings and terrorist bombing attacks. In fact, lung is known as one of the most critical organs in blast injury, which is considered to be the most representative damage in the explosion. Moreover, acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome, induced by primary blast lung injury, are the major cause of immediate death.According to the pathological processes of blast lung injury, biomarkers are used in the diagnosis and evaluation of this kind of injury. In this review, we introduced several biomarkers which are the major diagnosis makers for blast lung injury, and it would provide support for the dynamic observation during the development of blast lung injury.
