Abstract:

Previous studies reported that schizophrenia patients with auditory verbal hallucinations(AVHs) demonstrated structural network impairment, functional network disturbance, cerebral blood disturbance and neural metabolism disturbance. The findings of aforementioned studies enhanced our understanding about the pathological mechanisms of AVHs.However, if the brain imaging characters which related to the AVHs symptom will development following the time or illness duration? How the dynamically developmental trajectories of brain imaging characters which related to the AVHs symptom will be demonstrated? which relationship between the brain iamging characters and the therapeutic effects and outcomes will be demonstrated? Which brain imaging characters can predict the therapeutic effects and provide objective indices to help the precision treatment? To achieve this aim, we must conduct a longitudinal study which adopt multi-modality techniques, recruiting the first-episode schizophrenia patients with AVHs, analyze the dynamically developmental trajectories of the brain imaging characters related to AVHs from multiple perspectives and the relationship between the brain characters and therapeutic outcomes will help us to explain above mentioned questions.

Key words: Auditory verbal hallucinations, Schizophrenia, Magnetic resonance imaging
