Application of musculoskeletal ultrasound in acute and critical diseases

Abstract:

Musculoskeletal ultrasound can be performed by the bedside with a high resolution of soft tissue. According to patient′s status, physicians could be able to focuse on local part of soft tissue scanning. Ultrasound can be done during joints movement in real time with both sides for comparision. Musculoskeletal ultrasound will extend from routine diagnostic ultrasound to critical ill assessment. The value of musculoskeletal ultrasound should be fully aware of and would play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and critical diseases.
