Abstract:

In the modern high-tech warfare, driven by a new combat style with non-contact and precision strikes, the battlefield environment is bound to become more complicated, especially for the vast territory and long borders in China. In the face of risks and challenges on Chinese national security, the special environment (plateau, islands, deserts, jungles, etc.) due to their severe climate and natural conditions (low pressure, low oxygen, water area, high heat, high humidity, extreme cold, confined spaces) determined the complexity of types and state of war injuries. Their treatment and rehabilitation becomes more formidable in the special environment. It constitutes a key element in determining the outcome of a war. In view of the fact that high-explosive weapons are the main lethal weapons in future battlefield, explosive blast injuries are the main types of injuries with severe injuries, complex state of injuries and high early-mortality. Research on the treatment of blast injuries in special environment propels to reduce early casualties of combat personnel, to control the occurrence of complications effectively, and to improve the effectiveness of clinical treatment.
