Abstract:

In combat, mild blast traumatic brain injury (bTBI) is the most common type of brain injuries, which leads to significant neurological and cognitive impacts on military members. Diagnosis of bTBI is needed to be indentified further. At the same time, the highly prevalent traumatic and psychiatric comorbidities incurred in combat must be considered in the approach to treatment. This manuscript aims to review the epidemiological, neuropathological, and clinical characteristics of bTBI.
