Abstract:

Coronary artery calcification is an important factor leading to coronary heart disease. This process is the abnormal deposition of minerals in the coronary artery on the vessel wall. Its mechanisms are complex, which are related to calcium and phosphorus metabolism, cell regulation and so on. Vesicles are closed structures composed of phospholipid bilayer, which are produced by cells. They have functions such as transporting biological substances and regulating cell functions, and the functions of vesicles from different sources are also different. The process of coronary artery calcification involves vesicles, which also play a role in regulation and transportation. Vesicles may be used as a new marker to diagnose and predict coronary artery calcification, as well as to aid in its management. The author mainly reviews the function of vesicles in the process of coronary artery calcification.
