Preventive care skills are an important part of general practitioners′ job skills.Proper training of preventive care skills is very important for training well qualified general practitioners.According to the objectives of training the rural order directional talents receiving free medical education, the different aspects of preventive care skills cultivation of tuition-free medical students are discussed in order to strengthen the general medical education, set up the prevention and health care skills training course, integrate and optimize the teaching resources and establish the preventive health education platform, reform teaching method and means, and improve students′ ability both in problem solving and community health practice.
