Abstract:

The airway inflammation and remodeling is the pathophysiological basis of many common chronic lung diseases. It is difficult that the single indicator fully reflects the level and prognosis airway inflammation and remodeling.Because it involves the interaction of a variety of inflammatory cells, cellular components and inflammatory mediators, which can result in the certain heterogeneity of pathophysiology and clinical manifestations. This review focuse don asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary hypertension and discusses biomarkers that has been researched for their usefulness to phenotype chronic inflammatory lung diseases which cause remodeling of the lung′s architecture. The goal is to evaluate the airway inflammation and remodeling during the chronic lung disease and to provide more treatment options for reference.

Key words: Biological markers, Airway remodeling, Airway inflammation, Lung diseases
