The application of case teaching method in the practice teaching of diagnostics

Abstract:

The case teaching is a kind of open teaching method, which is applied in the practice teaching of clinical diagnostics.It can transform the role of teachers in the classroom activities, and promote the medical students to actively participate in the classroom, deepening the medical students′ understanding of the medical concepts.It is innovative and exploratory mean of effective teaching.Case teaching not only pays attention to interaction between the teacher and the students in the classroom, stimulating students′ interests during learning, helping them to understand and memorize the basic concepts in diagnostics, but also inspires their autonomous learning as well as promotes the cultivation of the students′ ability of clinical thinking with clinical decision making.Case teaching needs the concerns of the teachers′ training with clinical practice experience, updating teaching ideas, focusing on the integrated use of medical knowledge, and the transformation from medical knowledge to clinical skills.
